The American Concrete Institute (ACI) scheduled its first virtual career fair for Feb. 27, 2018, from Noon – 5:00 p.m. EST. ACI’s free virtual career fair will help early-career as well as experienced concrete industry professionals advance their job-seeking skills and gain access to leading employers from throughout the U.S. and abroad.
The full range of coastal concerns will be up for discussion at the upcoming National Coastal Conference, with more than 180 speakers addressing an array of issues during the three-day event.
The annual Digital Construction Week kicked off on Monday Oct. 16 with a packed British Information Modelling event held at the Geovation hub in central London. The fourth in a series of bi-annual events organized by 3D Repo, speakers from Bryden Wood, Skanska, Flux, Ordnance Survey and Podaris took up a geospatial theme with delegates debating issues such as data access, integration and collaboration.
Since 1979 the Grouting Fundamentals and Current Practice course has covered pressure grouting as a method to improve geotechnical properties of soils and rock masses, with special focus on mechanisms, theories, and practical applications of grouting to ground densification and strengthening, permeability reduction and groundwater cutoffs.
