Civil+Structural Engineer Media is proud to host the third annual Yearbook of Engineering Achievement Competition. Civil+Structural Engineer Media and its publisher Zweig Group are committed to Elevating the AEC industry. In the spirit of our mantra, we are thrilled to host the 2024 Yearbook of Engineering Achievement (YEA) competition, and we are excited to announce a new category for this year’s competition: education. This competition attracts and invites projects that have Elevated the AEC industry in areas such as community & environmental impact, innovative technical processes, and/or groundbreaking vision & execution.

The 2024 YEA competition will feature five categories:

  • Water/Stormwater/Wastewater
  • Housing/Residential
  • Environmental/Sustainability
  • Transportation/Infrastructure
  • Education

Eligibility:

Projects completed or scheduled to be completed before the end of the 2024 calendar year are eligible for submission to this year’s YEA competition. Firms are encouraged to submit multiple projects, but are limited to one entry per category.

Submission Process:

The fee to enter the 2024 YEA competition is $100. To begin the submission process, please click “buy now” and check out. Once the entry fee has been paid, you will receive an email with a link to complete the Project Information Report. This form asks for information about the project such as location, dates, budget, team members, and a few technical aspects of the project. See here to preview the Project Information Report.

Media Requirements:

Images must be at least 300 dpi at 10 inches tall, or larger, in JPG, EPS, PSD, or TIFF format.

Visuals are a major part of the YEA voting process. Firms are encouraged to submit any media assets associated with the project such as photography and video. Media submission instructions are listed on the Project Information Report.

Voting:

Projects will be hosted on csengineermag.com/yea for the duration of the voting period. The voting period runs from November 6th to 15th. During the online voting period, our audience will be encouraged to vote for the projects they think demonstrate the best of the best from the AEC industry in 2024. Website visitors will be allowed to cast their vote for two projects each day for the duration of the voting period. The project that earns the most votes overall during the voting period will be crowned the 2024 Summit Project.

Publicity:

The 2024 Yearbook of Engineering Achievement will be announced with the publication of the Winter 2024 issue of Civil+Structural Engineer Magazine. In addition to being featured in our award-winning magazine, each winning project will have their own page on our website. The 2024 Summit Project winner will be featured on the cover of Civil+Structural Engineer Magazine’s Winter 2024 issue.
