WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff opens office in Eliot, Maine

Eliot, Maine — WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, a global engineering and professional services organization, has opened a new office in Eliot, Maine. The new office will offer comprehensive infrastructure engineering and construction services for public and private sector clients throughout the state of Maine. Services include, bridge and highway design, traffic signal design, transportation planning, municipal engineering, survey and geospatial services, construction management and inspection, and project management.

“WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff has a long history of providing infrastructure services to the Maine Department of Transportation, Maine Turnpike Authority, regional planning commissions, municipalities and various educational institutions in the state, as well as a host of private developers,” said Darrell Ford, senior supervising engineer and office manager. “Our new office will enable us to better serve all these constituencies, with a more robust local presence and enhanced technical resources.”

Recent WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff projects in Maine include design of the state’s first adaptive signal project in Wells; construction management and inspection for projects such as the Route 1 Dennett Road Bridge Replacement, the Acadia Gateway Center, the Exit 80 Interchange and the Memorial Bridge Replacement, in nearby Portsmouth, New Hampshire; design for the reconstruction of the main access bridge at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard; condition inspection of the state’s major truss bridges; design of the Sibley Pond Bridge, Maine’s first major design-build project; and design of a thermoplastic bridge in York, the first such bridge in New England.
