Ware Malcomb Announces Leadership News in Vaughan, Ontario Office

Ware Malcomb, an award-winning international design firm, today announced the promotions of Frank Di Roma to Regional Vice President and Amanda Sanabria to Director, Architecture based in the firm’s office in Vaughan, Ontario.

Di Roma joined Ware Malcomb in 2005 in the Design Studio and relocated from California to Toronto in 2007. He has been promoted multiple times, most recently to Principal in 2017. As Regional Vice President, he is responsible for the overall growth and leadership of Ware Malcomb’s Canada region that encompasses the Vaughan, Toronto and Ottawa office locations.

“Frank has built a consistently growing market share throughout the region, winning great projects across Canada in several provinces,” said Ken Wink, CEO of Ware Malcomb. “His dynamic personality and passion for design, client service and business development are inspiring to all who know him and work with him.”

Under his leadership, Ware Malcomb has designed a wide array of architecture, interior design and civil engineering projects in corporate and commercial office, retail, industrial, mixed-use, multifamily and auto dealerships, as well as Canada’s first multi-story industrial building. A licensed architect in British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Ontario, Di Roma received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Ryerson in Toronto and his Master of Architecture degree from the University of Buffalo in New York. He is an active member of the National Association of Industrial & Office Properties (NAIOP) and the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR). Di Roma is speaking at the upcoming NAIOP I.CON conference June 7-8 in Jersey City, NJ. His session will focus on how multistory technology is being utilized through a unique design prototype to maximize sites previously deemed unsuitable for development.

In her new role as Director, Architecture, Sanabria will lead the growth and management of the Architecture team for the Vaughan office. She joined Ware Malcomb in 2019 and had advanced from Senior Project Architect to Studio Manager prior to her latest promotion.

“Amanda’s strong leadership, passion for architecture and positive attitude have made her a valued member of the Vaughan leadership team,” said Frank Di Roma. “She has been instrumental in developing Ware Malcomb’s Canadian relationships with major developers, resulting in design work for several million square foot buildings.”

With over 20 years of experience in the architectural profession, Sanabria is experienced in leading large, complex projects from programming and design through construction completion. Her project resume includes office, retail, industrial, multifamily and data centers.

Sanabria is a licensed Architect in Ontario and Quebec, a member of the Ontario Association of Architects and the Order of Architects of Quebec, a Project Management Professional as well as a LEED-accredited professional. She earned her Bachelor of Architecture and Master of Architecture degrees from McGill University in Quebec.
