Ware Malcomb Announces Construction is Complete on The Arc of Monmouth Day Habilitation Project

Firm recognized as 2023 Leader in Real Estate, Construction and Design

NEWARK, N.J. – Ware Malcomb, an award-winning international design firm, today announced that construction is complete on The Arc of Monmouth Day Habilitation Center, located in Wall Township, NJ. Ware Malcomb provided civil engineering and interior architecture and design services for the 30,000 square foot project.

The Arc of Monmouth is a nonprofit organization that serves more than 1,600 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) in Monmouth County. Through its staff, volunteers and donors, the organization empowers individuals with I/DD to live fulfilling, independent lives in their communities through advocacy, services and education.

“We were proud to partner with The Arc of Monmouth on the design of their new facility, which brings together multiple programs to a single upgraded location that provides enhanced and integrated services to the community,” said Marlyn Zucosky, Regional Director for Ware Malcomb.

Citing the notable impact the firm made in the region through its work on The Arc of Monmouth project and numerous others, Ware Malcomb was recognized as one of the 2023 Leaders in Real Estate, Construction and Design Awards by NJBIZ, a New Jersey business news publication. The awards program celebrates individuals and companies changing New Jersey’s commercial real estate landscape through development, design, construction, project management and more.

“Our firm is continually focused on making an impact in the communities where we live, work and thrive, said Edward Mayer II, Principal for Ware Malcomb. “We are grateful to be recognized by the independent panel of industry judges.”

The new Day Habilitation Center features a variety of individualized areas designed specifically to enhance sensory and ambulatory functions. Several specialty rooms for learning opportunities include sensory rooms, quiet rooms, computer rooms, a gym and three fully equipped kitchens, one for each program area. The facility follows a functional design, emphasizing flow of the areas and spaces to facilitate managing adult clients.

Ware Malcomb’s design team worked closely with the client to select clean, modern, easy to maintain finishes, and to introduce individual program colors through their furniture. Other design features included extra wide corridors to ensure comfort for patients and easy vehicle access for residents, family and transportation.

Ware Malcomb’s Interior Architecture & Design Studio creates design solutions to transform interior environments into market relevant, contemporary spaces.
