Urban Engineers Names Erika Rush to its Board of Directors

Philadelphia — Urban Engineers announced that Erika L. Rush, AICP, PP, was elected to the firm’s board of directors. Rush serves as a firm vice president and practice leader for planning services.

“Erika has been instrumental in the forward progress and success of our firm during her 20 year tenure,” said Urban President and CEO Kenneth R. Fulmer, PE. “We are thrilled about her election to our board and are looking forward to the leadership and keen insight she will bring.”

For more than 30 years, Rush has worked with communities at neighborhood, small town, suburban, and large city scales to enhance their quality of life with integrated land use, transportation, environmental and economic planning. She leads Urban’s planning practice nationwide. Within this role, she oversees the firm’s multi-modal circulation planning, bicycle and pedestrian planning, streetscape master plans and public engagement projects.

“I am honored to join Urban Engineers’ board,” Rush said, “and I am excited to help guide the continued success of our firm.”

A Certified Planner with the American Institute of Certified Planners and a Professional Planner in New Jersey, Rush earned her bachelor’s in landscape architecture from Michigan State University and her master’s in urban planning from Columbia University. Her projects have received awards from a diverse membership that includes the American Institute of Architects (AIA), the National Trust’s Main Street Program, the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC).
