TranSystems Promotes Shawn Turner to Principal and Senior Vice President

Kansas City, Mo. – TranSystems announces the promotion of Shawn Turner, PE, to senior vice president and principal.

Turner joined TranSystems in 2006 and has experience in all facets of municipal engineering, including streets, ADA compliance, utilities, and facilities. He is well versed in assisting clients in obtaining state or federal funding for infrastructure improvement projects throughout the Midwest. Following the F5 tornado that hit Joplin, Mo., he helped the city apply for a TIGER grant, in which they received $12 million.

The promotion is part of an annual process determined by the firm’s partner performance and development committee to identify future leaders and owners.

Turner holds a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from University of Kansas, and is licensed in Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma. He is involved with ACEC, the ACEC/KDOT Partnering Committee, the Kansas Society of Professional Engineers, and the American Public Works Association.
