TranSystems Announces Changes to its Board of Directors

KANSAS CITY, Mo. –  TranSystems announced a series of changes to its Board of Directors as two members, including its chairman, retired. 

Richard Morsches, PE, TranSystems’ current Chief Executive Officer, was appointed to Chairman. Morsches has been with the company for three decades, taking on the role as CEO in 2016.

Joining the Board as Directors are John Hovanec, PE, and John Grow, PE. Both were elected to three-year terms and previously served as Advisors to the Board. Grow serves as the Regional Senior Vice President for TranSystems’ Florida Region. Hovanec is an external board member who worked with Union Pacific Railroad for nearly 38 years serving in a variety of leadership positions. 

Tim Rock, TranSystems’ National Freight Market Sector Leader and Regional Senior Vice President for the Texas Region will join the Board as an Advisor.

Stepping down from the board are Brian Larson and Admirable Robert (Rocky) J. Spane. Spane steps down after close to 15 years of service. He brought unequaled qualifications in terms of aviation, port and oceangoing expertise, as well as a keen and practiced understanding of the business world.

Brian Larson served as Chairman of the Board for 35 years. He started at TranSystems when it was a small traffic planning firm in Kansas City and was an integral part in making it the national transportation consultancy it is today.
