Terracon named to Employee Ownership 100

OLATHE, KAN. — Terracon has been named #53 on the Employee Ownership 100, the list of the top 100 largest majority employee-owned companies in the country. Since 1965, Terracon has grown from a small Iowa geotechnical firm to a large, multifaceted national firm. Terracon attributes its tremendous growth during the last 10 years to the hard work and dedication of its employee-owners.

The list is compiled annually by the National Center for Employee Ownership (NCEO), a private, nonprofit membership and research organization in Oakland, Calif. As of 2012, there are nearly 11,000 companies in the United States with employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs), the most common form of broad-based employee ownership.
