Tekla to kick off UM10 with keynote address

KENNESAW, GA. — Tekla Inc. has announced it will kick off its annual North American User Meeting (UM10) with a keynote address on Friday, August 13 at 8:00 a.m. Charles H. Thornton, Ph.D., P.E. of Thornton Tomasetti, will deliver the keynote.

Founding principal and formerly co-chairman, Dr. Thornton is now a consultant to Thornton Tomasetti, and an advisor to the goard of directors. In his more than 40 years of experience, Thornton has been involved in the design and construction of billions of dollars worth of projects in the United States and overseas, ranging from hospitals, arenas and high-rise buildings to airports, transportation facilities and special structure projects. Many of these projects have set industry standards for innovative thinking and creativity and have won numerous awards.

Tekla Structures general and technical sessions will showcase refinements to the BIM software, dive deep into new features, and share “what’s coming next.”

UM10 also offers attendees the unique opportunity to network with other Tekla Structures users as well as access to its service team to get expert advice.

Other activities at UM10 include:

•A welcome Cocktail Hour on Thursday, August 12 for a time to catch up with past attendees, network, and relax before the meeting begins.
