JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Superior Construction, an American family-owned infrastructure contractor, is proud to welcome Burns Logan as its lead general counsel. Logan will advise Superior in legal matters, manage construction-related and general legal operations, and will play a role in implementing the business strategy.

Logan’s nearly 20 years of experience includes six years as assistant general counsel at Jacobs (formerly CH2M) working in the company’s Design Build & Operations and Claims and Litigation units, five years an associate attorney at LLoyd, Gray, Whitehead, & Monroe; three years as corporate counsel for W.G. Yates & Sons Construction Company; and three years as an associate attorney with Balch and Bingham, LLP and Watkins Ludlam Winter & Stennis, PC.

“I’m excited to contribute to Superior Construction’s nearly 100-year legacy as America’s premier infrastructure contractor,” Logan said. “Using my experience in construction law and litigation, I look forward to supporting Superior’s growth and expansion into new markets, while the company remains true to the values and vision established by the Lagura family four generations ago.”

Named ENR Southeast’s 2018 Contractor of the Year, Superior has recently experienced significant growth, including nearly 50% growth in revenue since 2017.

Chief Operating Officer Scott Witt shared his enthusiasm for Logan joining the Superior Family.

“Burns’ professional history in construction law, arbitration, mediation and contract negotiation made him an easy choice to bring onto the team as our lead general counsel,” Witt said. “I’m confident in his ability to contribute to Superior’s business development and operational success.”
