Superior Construction Announces Key Leadership Appointments

Brian Ellison Named VP of Technology Services, Sarah Lewis Promoted to Corporate Controller

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Superior Construction has announced two key leadership appointments that reflect the company’s dual commitment to attracting industry-leading talent and developing employees from within. The heavy civil construction company has named technology veteran Brian Ellison as Vice President of Technology Services and promoted Sarah Lewis to Corporate Controller.

Ellison Brings Three Decades of Tech Leadership Experience

Ellison joins Superior from Stellar, where he served as Chief Information Officer for 10 years. Drawing on his 30 years of experience, he will spearhead digital transformation initiatives and long-term tech strategy.

“What drew me to Superior is the opportunity to apply technology in ways that truly move the needle for the business,” Ellison said. “The company’s growth has created new demands for smarter systems, better integration, and more informed decision-making.”

Ellison will focus on improving system interoperability, breaking down data silos, and implementing solutions that enhance operational efficiency. He plans to leverage artificial intelligence for hazard identification, incorporate virtual and augmented reality into safety training, and integrate cybersecurity awareness into Superior’s safety culture.

“There’s a wealth of knowledge across this company,” Ellison explained. “My goal is to help capture that expertise and move it into systems where everyone can benefit from it as we continue to grow.”

Lewis Advances to Senior Leadership After Seven-Year Journey

Lewis’s promotion to Corporate Controller marks a milestone in her seven-year journey from intern to senior leadership. Since joining in 2018, Lewis has held multiple positions in the accounting department, bringing a comprehensive operational understanding to her new role.

As Corporate Controller, Lewis will oversee the company’s Work in Progress reports, which track revenue, costs and profit margins throughout each project’s lifecycle.

“I’ve worked many different roles in the accounting department, so I understand what everyone on my team is doing every day,” Lewis said. “I believe that without the people I work with, Superior wouldn’t be where we are today.”

Lewis credits her involvement with Superior Women in Construction (SWiC) with contributing to her advancement. In her new role, she plans to focus on maintaining departmental stability and ensuring the company utilizes existing talent effectively.

Superior’s leaders want to continue building capacity through external recruitment and internal development. “Our success depends on having the right people in the right roles,” said CEO Nick Largura. “Brian brings the deep technology expertise we need to modernize our operations. Sarah represents the best of what happens when we invest in our people’s growth and development.”
