Structural Engineer Josh Crowe Joins Coffman Engineers

Coffman Engineers, Inc. (Coffman) welcomes Josh Crowe to their structural department as a Senior Structural Engineer. He joins Coffman to bolster their structural engineering capabilities as their project demands increase.

Josh has 21 years of experience in construction administration and marine and structural engineering. He is a licensed civil and structural engineer in the state of Alaska and is knowledgeable in both steel and concrete design and construction methods. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering and Master’s in structural engineering from Marquette University.

Throughout his career, Josh’s responsibilities have included strategy development, project management, project engineering, and leading building information modeling. Josh’s construction administration projects have included rural runways and urban road construction. His background also includes performing materials testing, grade inspection and field engineering. After earning his master’s degree, his focus shifted to rehabilitation and structural design of equipment buildings, docks, harbors, highway infrastructure, small bridges, airport fire rescue facilities, chemical storage buildings, and more. “Josh’s depth as an engineer is a great addition to our structural group’s existing capabilities. His combination of field experience and technical structural knowledge for building and non-building structures compliments our work history. We are thrilled to have his expertise and his positive attitude on our team; culture is important at Coffman and Josh is proving to be a good fit,” said structural principal, Matt Stielstra. Josh is already working on a significant seismic evaluation and retrofit of a multi-story building and will be an important structural project lead for the structural group on many projects to come.
