With guidance from state health officials about protecting the health and well-being of Minnesotans and preventing further spread of COVID-19, the Minnesota Department of Transportation will indefinitely postpone all scheduled public meetings and project open houses statewide, effective immediately.

This includes the Stillwater Lift Bridge “Lift & Loop” celebration, previously scheduled for Fri, May 15 and Sat, May 16.

Public engagement on transportation and construction projects remains a priority. We will explore alternatives, such as virtual and remote options for participation, and will provide updates as they become available.

A new date for the grand opening and celebration will be determined within the next few weeks as we continue to monitor the situation. If you purchased tickets for the Lift Bridge dinner on Fri, May 15, your ticket will be honored for the rescheduled dinner. If you’d like a refund, we ask that you hold refund requests for this week while we determine the course of action for this event. Refund information will be sent in the next week.
