Steven Widacki, P.E., Joins LAN as Project Manager

(AUSTIN) Steven Widacki, P.E., joins planning, engineering and program management firm Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc. (LAN) as a project manager. In this role, he will be responsible for managing the firm’s municipal and county roadway projects in the central Texas region.

Widacki has 36 years of experience managing the design and construction of municipal infrastructure projects. His expertise includes project planning, right-of-way acquisition, utility coordination, construction administration, engineering project management, as well as roadway, drainage and water quality design.

Previously, he worked for national consulting engineering firms in various roles such as design engineer, project manager, senior project manager, division manager and office manager. His experience also includes serving the City of Kyle as a city engineer, where he led the development of the city’s 2013 Road Bond Referendum. Prior to that, he served the City of San Marcos as a project manager.

His portfolio includes many noteworthy projects throughout Texas, including:

• Dacy Lane Route Study and Goforth to Bebee Rd. Improvements for Hays County and the City of Kyle.
• Lakeline Boulevard Extension from Buttercup Creek Blvd. to Ranch to Market Road 1431 for the City of Cedar Park.
• US 183 at 183A Intersection Improvements, which re-aligned the intersection to accommodate future main lane improvements to 183A in the Leander area.

Widacki holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Texas A&M University. He is a registered professional engineer in Texas. He is a member of American Public Works Association and the Austin Contractors and Engineer’s Association.
