Stanley Consultants opens Washington, D.C. office

Washington, D.C. — Stanley Consultants has opened a Global Services office in Washington, D.C.  The focus of the office is to expand geographically the company’s strong presence in the global market.  Stanley Consultants provides consulting engineering services in transportation, energy, water and environment through over 30 offices located throughout the U.S, Caribbean, Asia, Africa, Middle East, and the Pacific.

“Stanley Consultants has operated globally since the ‘50s, but many of our key Federal and international clients are based in or have strategic offices in the D.C. area,” said Gayle Roberts, P.E., president and CEO of Stanley Consultants.  “Having a local D.C. presence not only makes it easier to serve our clients, it also provides direct access to our full spectrum of services and expertise.”

The office, located at 1530 Wilson Boulevard, Suite 710 in Arlington, Virginia, is managed by Senior Vice President Mario Rizos.  He is Business Leader for the firm’s Global Services Business Unit and directs its activities including strategy development, business development, operational performance, client relationships, quality, and financial performance.  He has 25 years of experience leading and managing multimillion dollar international private development and governmental organizations.

“Opening a Stanley Consultants office in Washington D.C. represents a wonderful opportunity to further develop business relations as well as create new ones in the international community,” said Rizos.

Carol Bell, Director, International Project Development, is also working in the D.C. office.  Bell brings extensive knowledge of Federal government agencies and multi-national development banks.  She has over 17 years of experience working with Federal government agencies and is the company’s liaison on legislative issues that impact the engineering industry.
