SCS Engineers to provide environmental consulting services for TOMRA Pacific

LONG BEACH, CALIF. — SCS Engineers (SCS) has been selected by TOMRA Pacific to develop a proactive regulatory compliance program focused on stormwater management at 11 of the company’s recycling facilities in the state. Developing the program requires SCS to utilize three distinct phases: evaluation and investigation (Phase I), implementation (Phase II), and administrative and monitoring (Phase III).

Phase I has commenced and consisted of a thorough and comprehensive evaluation of site-specific best management practices, historic stormwater analytic results, and sample collection methods. The consulting services provided by SCS will give TOMRA an increased efficiency in addressing environmental issues and allow the company to avoid non-compliance and increased costs, most specifically, those regulations required by National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES).
