RMF Engineering Announces New Shareholder from Columbus, Ohio Office

Baltimore, Md. –– RMF Engineering, a leader in full-service MEP engineering, today announced the addition of Ohio-based Project Manager, David Mercer, as a shareholder in the company.

“Dave came to RMF as the firm was just beginning to establish its presence in Ohio and has played an invaluable role in the scale of impact and influence we have had across the Midwest in the years since,” said Vincent Jarrett, PE, Division Manager at the Columbus office and recently elected member of RMF’s Board of Directors. “Continually evolving in his leadership capabilities and responsibilities, Dave demonstrates a drive to succeed and dedication to client service that is wholly deserving of this exciting recognition.”

Mercer, PE, joined RMF in 2011 as the Ohio office’s first mechanical engineer. He now heads the Division’s mechanical group and oversees the mechanical design efforts for central utility plant and thermal utility distribution projects across the region. Working closely with Jarrett on the direction and development of the Columbus-based team, Mercer also works in partnership with engineering teams from RMF’s other locations, bringing his expertise to collaborate on utility infrastructure projects in the Midwest and beyond.

“I have had the unique opportunity to grow alongside the team in Ohio over the past decade, helping to turn what was once a small footprint into a substantial force in the region, and it is incredibly rewarding to see how far we have come,” said Mercer. “This recognition is a reflection of the entire team’s accomplishments and I look forward to continuing to expand our expertise and taking on increasingly more complex and challenging projects.”

A licensed professional engineer in multiple states, Mercer’s experience includes the analysis, design, and evaluation of steam and chilled water generation and distribution systems; automated mechanical systems; utility metering upgrades; and domestic water systems. He holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University and is a graduate of RMF’s Management and Leadership Development Programs––which are designed to further enhance leadership acumen and decision-making capabilities in the interest of the firm, its clients, employees and projects.
