Rich Markwith Named President of TranSystems

Atlanta – Rich Markwith, PE, is named President of TranSystems Corp., a consulting firm that provides engineering and architecture solutions to the transportation marketplace. Markwith most recently served as the Executive Vice President of Strategy and has held a variety of leadership roles in the firm such as leading the firm’s largest market sector, leading the Southeast region and as a regional sales leader.

Markwith is replacing Paul Malir who will remain at TranSystems working in corporate development and as a board member. Malir has been with TranSystems for 30 years where he held various positions and helped grow the firm from its Kansas City roots.

As President, Markwith will lead the development of market sectors and key services, overseeing the top line side of the business. Markwith will also continue guiding the sales strategy while playing an integral role in our corporate development and growth of the firm.

Markwith has more than 30 years of experience in the planning, design, and construction management field from a variety of transportation-based projects. Markwith first joined TranSystems in 2013.

Markwith holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Lehigh University. He is active with the American Council of Engineering Companies and the American Road and Transportation Builders Association.
