Rhino Doors’ new North West manufacturing facility opens for business

Rhino Doors is continuing its expansion programme with its new North West design and manufacturing facility coming on stream.

The company, which produces high-performance engineered doors for clients including the Ministry of Defence and Transport for London, now has a fully operational workshop facility at its new site in Bamber Bridge, Lancashire.

This expanded manufacturing capability means the company will now be able to design and produce its range of personnel doors in both its Port Talbot and Lancashire facilities.

The company’s recent move to new premises highlights the continued success of the Rhino Engineering Group and its specialist subsidiaries focusing on door installation and maintenance, and explosion relief products for the global hydrogen market.

“It’s brilliant to see our brand-new facility up and running, with plenty of work underway on a number of our projects,” said Stuart Lawrence, Group Managing Director of Rhino Engineering Group.

“A key part of our continued expansion will be this new site, which will allow us to scale up our manufacturing capabilities and develop and broaden our product offering.”

As well as working with TfL, Rhino Doors has worked extensively across the transport sector, carrying out manufacturing and installation work for a major North American rail tunnel project.

The company also recently announced the appointment of two new directors; Jon Walter joined the company as its Managing Director, while Matthew Richards took on the role of Project Engineering Director.

These new appointments, along with the launch of its new site, form part of the company’s plans for continued, sustainable growth throughout 2022 and beyond.
