Phase 2 Connects Entire Development by Adding Apartments, Townhomes, Additional Parking, and Plaza Space

BROOKFIELD, Wis. — raSmith, a multi-disciplined consulting engineering and surveying firm, recently provided civil and structural engineering services for Phase 2 of Titletown in Green Bay, Wis. raSmith has been involved since the early planning and design stages of this legacy development. Titletown is a mixed-use development just west of Lambeau Field (home of the Green Bay Packers) that offers visitors an opportunity to enjoy sports, music, dining, and year-round activities.

As part of Phase 2, raSmith’s structural engineers provided building design services for TitletownFlats, a seven-story, approximately 193,000-square-foot apartment building integrated into and sitting on top of a podium slab that raSmith also designed. The podium slab area also supports an office building (designed by others) and an outdoor entertainment venue and gathering space that houses parking underneath.

Titletown Flats contains 152 apartments, ranging from studios to three-bedroom units. The structural design addressed unique framing requirements for the multi-family residential space. The apartment building includes 8,700 square feet of at-grade-level space beneath the podium slab and 184,000 square feet of space above the podium. Portions of the elevated building levels consist of a two-story fitness, lounge, and amenity area that opens up into the plaza at the podium slab area. Additional amenities include a game room, community kitchen, co-working spaces, community yoga, table tennis, private dog park, sun deck, outdoor grilling area, green spaces with fire pits, heated parking, electric car-charging stations, and storage.

TitletownFlats is part of the newly opened space that connects the entire Titletown development. The walkable Titletown neighborhood provides access to new businesses, restaurants, recreation, and entertainment and includes more plaza space and terraced green space. raSmith’s traffic engineers provided traffic analysis and design services for the more than 500 public parking spaces that were added to the Titletown area along with several new entrances and pedestrian walkways.

Phase 2 also includes TitletownHomes, consisting of approximately 220 residences, and TitletownOffice, a seven-story office tower with 150,000 square feet of Class A, premium office space, a first-floor lobby level, five levels of office space, and a top floor of meeting and event space for tenant use.

raSmith has provided land surveying, civil engineering, and project management for various aspects of Phase 1, which included the public plaza and tubing hill, the 144-room Lodge Kohler, 20,000 square-foot Hinterland brewery and restaurant, and TitletownTech. Structural engineering services were provided for the 30,000-square foot Bellin Health sports medicine facility.
