R.A. Smith National provides surveying, sitework engineering for rehabilitation of Milwaukee neighborhoods

Brookfield, Wis. — R.A. Smith National, a multi-disciplined civil engineering and surveying firm, is providing surveying, site planning, and grading and erosion control design to Gorman & Company, Inc. for the rehabilitation of homes in inner-city Milwaukee neighborhoods. R.A. Smith National has provided surveying services for more than 200 sites since 2006 and engineering services for more than 60 new home sites since 2011.

Gorman & Company is working in conjunction with the City of Milwaukee to build new homes or rehabilitate old homes in various areas of Milwaukee including Sherman Park and Washington Park. These housing projects are part of an effort to breathe new life into areas of Milwaukee that are aging and deteriorating.
