Environmental Banc and Exchange LLC (EBX) won a contract from the North Carolina Department of Environmental and Natural Resources to provide full-service mitigation at EBX’s Floogie mitigation site near Windsor, N.C. The $3.3 million project is part of North Carolina’s Ecosystem Enhancement Program and includes reconstructing the original, meandering stream channel of Flat Swamp Creek.

AMEC’s San Diego office was awarded a four-year, $1 million-plus contract by the University of California, San Diego, for water-quality monitoring at Scripps Institution of Oceanography. AMEC periodically will collect and analyze water and sediment samples from oceanside and underwater locations where Scripps discharges seawater from aquariums and stormwater.

Weston Solutions, Inc., was awarded a Superfund Technical Assessment & Response Team contract with a programmatic maximum value of $168 million to perform work in Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 6, which encompasses New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana. Work may include scientific/technical support to EPA On-Scene Coordinators, site assessment, brownfields, and emergency response and removal support activities.
