Program available for Canadian P3 conference

Toronto — The Canadian Council for Public-Private Partnerships announced the program for its 22nd Annual Conference to be held Nov. 3-4, 2014, at the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel. Sixteen sessions will bring together P3 leaders from across Canada and abroad to address today's top of mind issues.

The event also celebrates this year's recipients of CCPPP's National Awards for Innovation and Excellence in P3s, shining the spotlight on several of Canada's leading P3 projects and partners. Additionally, the two-day event will offer opportunities to interact with fellow delegates and speakers onsite, in sessions and through the P3 2014 Conference App.

For those interested in global P3 opportunities, the International Café will feature Canadian Trade Commissioners from active P3 markets around the world.

The Honourable Joe Oliver, Minister of Finance, Government of Canada, will deliver the Opening Keynote Address at the conference on Monday Nov. 3. Oliver was sworn in as Canada's Minister of Finance in March 2014, previously serving as Minister of Natural Resources. His government has made a major commitment to renewing Canada's infrastructure with a 10-year, over $70 billion commitment, the largest and longest of its kind in Canadian history. The companion $1.25 billion P3 Canada Fund will continue to be a major catalyst for provincial, municipal and aboriginal P3 projects.

Minister Oliver will outline the role of infrastructure investments in stimulating a prosperous and internationally competitive Canada and in providing important public services to Canadians.
