Paul Bowen Promoted to New Transportation Construction Services Role

OMAHA, Neb. — Paul Bowen was recently named HDR’s transportation construction services lead for the central region, which stretches from Texas to Minnesota.

An associate vice president at HDR, Bowen has over 35 years’ experience executing major transportation projects in the construction services industry, including project procurement, program management, business development, operations and technical leadership.

Expanding our services regionally, Paul will provide technical support to other practice areas within HDR, assist in strategic planning, and deepen the strength of our staff through development and training.

“We are thrilled to have someone with Paul’s experience driving construction services’ growth in the central region,” said Steve Whitley, HDR construction control corporation director of operations. “Paul brings over 20 years of experience in all phases of project delivery to the table and will be a perfect fit for helping HDR’s clients achieve their construction goals. I look forward to working with Paul and the entire team to enhance our construction services’ offerings in the central region.”

Bowen has been HDR’s Central Texas construction services leader and has also been supporting our statewide construction engineering & inspection efforts in Texas. He is currently the project manager for the $75 million Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority’s Manor Expressway (290E) Phase III project.

Bowen has held lead construction roles for projects ranging from $8 million to $1.1 billion and has demonstrated prominent management expertise in both vertical and horizontal construction and engineering. He also has co-authored several papers on quality control and has served as our in-house QA/QC coordinator through the years.
