O—Brien & Gere selects new CEO

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The O’Brien & Gere board of directors has selected James A. Fox to serve as the next CEO for O’Brien & Gere. Previously, Fox served in various leadership positions, most recently leading the company’s industrial and federal business units. This transition became effective Jan. 1, 2011.

As CEO, Jim will be accountable to the board of directors for overall corporate performance and lead the development and implementation of O’Brien & Gere’s 2015 Strategic Plan. He is responsible for the strategic vision of the firm while working with O’Brien & Gere President/Chief Operations Officer R. Leland Davis on the people, performance, and profitable growth needed to achieve that vision. The CEO also is responsible for maintaining relationships with key governmental representatives, major clients, financial institutions, and public service organizations, as well as the corporate resource functions of the company.

During a 27-year career with O’Brien & Gere, Fox has overseen programs involving the design and construction of industrial facilities, environmental, energy, and water infrastructure projects, as well as design-build, operation, and lifecycle project delivery for large, complex projects. These projects have been completed for Fortune 100 clients within the life sciences, aerospace, food and beverage, and high-tech manufacturing sectors and the Department of Defense. Additionally, he has had responsibility for the manufacturing operations at O’Brien & Gere that include technology development and commercialization within thermal process, air quality, and energy systems. Fox also has been a member of the board of directors of O’Brien & Gere for more than 10 years.
