Silver Spring, Md.—The National Ready Mixed Concrete Association (NRMCA) is currently accepting abstracts for the 2009 Concrete Technology Forum: Focus on Performance Prediction, due by Friday, November 28. The Forum will bring researchers and practitioners together to discuss the latest advances, technical knowledge, continuing research, tools and specifications that involve test methods and modeling to predict concrete performance and service life. This two-day symposium and product expo is scheduled for May 14-15 in Cincinnati.

Researchers, engineers, contractors, concrete producers, public works officials, material suppliers and concrete professionals are invited to submit abstracts and attend this symposium. Abstracts can be submitted on line at

Abstracts are encouraged on hardened concrete properties, concrete applications, plastic concrete properties, and performance prediction.
