2020   McLaren Engineering Group, the full-service engineering firm, announced today that company President, Jeremy Billig, PE and Marine Division Vice President, Stephen Famularo, PE were both admitted as new members to The Moles, a prestigious nationwide organization composed of select leaders at the forefront of the heavy construction industry.

“Although our services span multiple industries, I am especially proud to have helped make McLaren a driving force in heavy construction through the addition of countless large-scale infrastructure projects to our portfolio,” says Jeremy Billig, PE. “It is an honor to have my work recognized and to be chosen into this esteemed group among some of the top names in this business.”

Billig is best known in the heavy construction sector for his work in and around NYC, including Rockefeller University building expansion over the FDR highway and the Pulaski Skyway viaduct and roadway rehabilitation. A diversely accomplished engineer, he has also led numerous iconic nationwide projects across the firm’s 10 markets, ranging from large mixed-use developments and healthcare facilities, to comprehensive structural work and restoration of landmarked buildings.

The Moles was founded in 1936 by industry pioneers in the NYC area. Membership is via nomination process only and capped at 550 individuals. Members must be engaged in specific sectors of heavy construction, particularly tunnel, subway, highway, bridge, foundation and marine, and have obtained an amplified level of accomplishment within their industry.

“The Moles is one of the most prestigious organizations of its kind and being selected as a member is a career milestone,” says Stephen Famularo, PE. “I am excited that my work is seen as making a positive impact on the maritime landscape.”

As Vice President of McLaren Engineering Group’s marine engineering services, Famularo leads a team of over 45 engineers, divers, designers, and scientists on complex waterfront inspection, design, rehabilitation, and construction projects throughout the country. His work includes over $500 million in construction and rehabilitation of marine structures in the New York Harbor and New Jersey alone.
