LJA acquires WORTECH Land Surveyors

Houston — LJA Engineering, Inc. acquired WORTECH Land Surveyors, Inc., a professional land surveying firm based in Beaumont, Texas. WORTECH was founded in 1997 by Richard Worthey, RPLS, to serve the Southeast Texas region.

Richard has over 30 years of experience in surveying and design construction projects. He has managed numerous commercial and industrial ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys. These projects have included shopping malls, hotels, apartment complexes, and many large industrial petro-chemical facilities. In the Energy Sector, he has provided professional surveying and mapping services to both Upstream and Midstream clients in the oil and gas exploration industry. Additionally, Richard has extensive experience in pipeline surveying, and has managed many pipeline projects, both small and large, for major clients in Texas. Richard will remain an integral member of the LJA survey team.

WORTECH joins LJA with a great reputation in the industry with both clients and fellow professionals. This acquisition broadens LJA's services and client base, and bolsters an already strong survey division. The combination of WORTECH and LJA allows us to expand our services, and continue to provide our clients with the best surveying and mapping products, utilizing the latest in Advanced Geospatial Technology. This alliance immediately doubles the size and revenue of the Beaumont Survey Division. 

The office will remain, with all employees joining LJA's existing Beaumont office staff to continue providing surveying services. The Beaumont Survey Division will office at 1480 Cornerstone Court in Beaumont, Texas.
