LJA acquires Carroll & Blackman, Inc.

Houston — LJA Engineering, Inc. (LJA) acquired Carroll & Blackman, Inc. (CBI), a Beaumont, Texas-based, diversified engineering and environmental firm. CBI has served municipal, commercial, industrial, and private sector clients in Texas since 1944.

The acquisition broadens LJA's services in the areas of drainage services, environmental reporting and assistance, flood control planning, land development planning, transportation services, water utilities studies and design, grant coordination, GIS services, and MS4 permit management.

Additionally, this acquisition marks the completion of LJA’s plan to position the firm to provide the highest level of professional services to the public market in the Southeast Texas region. With this acquisition, LJA now has more than 50 Professional Engineers, Surveyors, and Environmental Scientists located in Southeast Texas to serve the technical needs of local public entities, backed by the broad, extensive knowledge base of experience available through LJA’s staff of 600 statewide.
