Lance Worth joins Stantec as mechanical team lead in firm’s Northwest Buildings practice

Worth brings a deep bench of award-winning project experience to the Pacific Northwest 

Lance Worth has joined Stantec—a global engineering, architecture, and consulting firm—as a mechanical team lead within the firm’s Buildings practice. Worth will be leading mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) teams in projects across the Pacific Northwest, based out of Stantec’s Portland, Oregon, office.

Bringing 14 years of experience to the MEP practice, Worth has led design of HVAC and plumbing systems for projects across a wide variety of market sectors for federal, municipal, and commercial clients. His design work encompasses projects from initial concept through construction documents, permitting, shop drawing review, site construction observation, and construction closeout.

Specializing in energy usage, Worth has performed numerous energy modeling and life cycle cost analyses for both LEED and non-LEED projects. As a Certified Energy Manager®, he brings experience as a systems integrator for MEP and building infrastructure, analyzing the optimum solutions to reduce energy consumption in a cost-effective approach.

Most notably, Worth was pivotal as the lead mechanical engineer on the award-winning Wright Patterson Air Force Base Foreign Material Exploitation Laboratory where he designed mechanical and plumbing work in the 58,000-square-foot lab, office, and administrative space. He also played a crucial role as mechanical lead in the City of Wichita’s Northwest Water Treatment Facility, which included an operations building designed to ICC 500 Standards for storm shelters, the filter building, chemical and disinfection buildings, and multiple pump stations.

Locally, Worth will have an active role on several outpatient services renovation projects, including the Oregon Health & Science University Hospital Expansion project and the Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital, which is in the early design phase.

An active member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers, Worth holds a master’s degree in architectural engineering from the University of Nebraska, Omaha.
