Kleinfelder appoints new CFO

SAN DIEGO — Kleinfelder appointed David S. Johnson as Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately. Johnson, who reports directly to Kleinfelder’s president and CEO Bill Siegel, is located in the firm’s San Diego headquarters.

“We are thrilled to have Dave join our leadership team,” said Siegel. “His wealth of financial and international expertise will enable us to continue to be successful through these uncertain financial times.”

Johnson has over 20 years of experience in the architecture and engineering industry. Before joining Kleinfelder, he held CFO positions at Power Engineers, Wilbur Smith Associates (now CDM Smith) and Carter & Burgess (now Jacobs Engineering). He also spent 15 years with General Electric in a wide variety of financial management roles.

He received his MBA from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas and a BA in economics from Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota. He is a member of Financial Executives International (FEI), the Association of Financial Professionals (AFP) and the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC).
