Kevin Chafin Joins TranSystems as SVP, Federal Market Sector Leader

Charleston, S.C. – TranSystems Corp., a consulting firm that provides engineering, architecture, planning, and construction management solutions to the transportation marketplace, welcomes Kevin Chafin, NCARB, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, F.SAME, as Senior Vice President and Federal Market Sector Leader. In this role, Chafin will oversee sales and strategy for the services provided to federal agencies.

Chafin brings more than 30 years of experience in in management, operations, and business development for the Federal Government, including being active duty and reserve for the United States Air Force. He has served as an architect working at NAVFAC Southeast and as the architectural principal in multiple architecture/ engineering firms performing design for the Federal Government, including the USACE, NAVFAC, Veterans Administration, GSA, and Coast Guard.

Chafin holds a Bachelors of Architecture and a Masters of Architecture from Savannah College of Art and Design. He is active with the Society of American Military Engineers and has been named Fellow. He also serves on the American Council of Civil Engineers – Federal agencies procurement advocacy committee.
