Keithe Merl, P.E. joins the HOBAS Team

HOBAS Pipe USA, a leading manufacturer of centrifugally cast fiberglass reinforced polymer mortar (CCFRPM) pipe, is pleased to announce Keithe J. Merl, P.E. as the newest member of the HOBAS Pipe sales team serving the Northeast US region; including NY, NJ, PA, MA, CT, VT, NH, ME and RI. He is a professional geo-engineer with more than 20 years’ experience serving clients in the private, public and municipal sectors in the northeastern US.  Merl replaces John Mele, who has been promoted to the newly created position of National Business Development Manager for HOBAS Pipe USA.

Merl will be contacting current HOBAS clients to ensure that working relationships continue smoothly, as well as broadening CCFRPM opportunities with decision-making management and engineering department personnel in his territory.  He will assist clients during the entire bidding process from reviewing plans and specifications; writing the RFE, through signed purchase order.

Merl’s client services have included technical skills in water resource engineering; hydraulic conductivity; stormwater management; hydrogeologic analysis; environmental permitting, and design of stormwater facilities. Merl has authored white papers and technical studies presented for numerous industry seminars and conferences. He served as a technical advisor to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and the Pinelands Commission on regulations proposed to govern the implementation and design of stormwater infiltration over the entire State of New Jersey.
