Jacobs Associates opens St. Louis office

ST. LOUIS — Jacobs Associates recently expanded its Midwest operations by opening an office in St. Louis. The new office will allow the firm to provide services more efficiently to clients requiring tunneling and underground expertise throughout the Central United States. The office will be headed up by Senior Associate Wayne Lindsay, who joined the firm in December 2013. Wayne has been in the consulting industry for more than 25 years, with a focus on water and wastewater infrastructure projects.

This office is Jacobs Associates’ second Midwest office; the other is located in Cleveland. However, the firm is not new to the area. It has been active in the region since the 1970s, and over the past two years has worked on Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District’s Long Term Control Plan Combined Sewer Overflows (CSO) Program. Other recently completed Midwest work includes design of an underground pedestrian tunnel at the Ravinia Festival Park in Highland Park, Ill.; construction phase engineering services for the Pearl River CSO Tunnel in Lafayette Ind.; and peer review services for the Black River Tunnel in Lorain, Ohio.

Currently, Jacobs Associates is part of the teams that are providing planning and preliminary design support services on the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District’s CSO program in Cleveland, and final design services for the City of Akron’s Ohio Canal Interceptor CSO Tunnel Project.

The St. Louis office will give Jacobs Associates a sustained local presence and allow more clients immediate access to its company—wide pool of experts in engineering design, construction management, and claims/dispute resolution.
