InEight Day of Giving Brings Holiday Relief to Communities in Need

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – InEight Inc., a global leader in capital project management software, has introduced a company-wide Day of Giving on December 15 to support six employee-selected charities across Australia, Sri Lanka and the United States, in addition to two international charities.

The InEight Day of Giving is part of InEight in Action, a year-round, three pillar initiative which helps to provide access to care, food and science, technology, engineering, art and math. Due to COVID-19, many in-person charitable events were cancelled, alongside community volunteering activities and staff celebrations, including those for the forthcoming holiday.

To ensure its community efforts continue to reflect the passion of employees across each of our regions, InEight asked each office to nominate a charity close to its heart. As a result, eight charities including Doctors Without Borders, Habitat for Humanity, MATES and St. Vincent de Paul Phoenix will benefit from the funds raised. Donations to Habit to Humanity will fund electricity bills over the winter season, so that vulnerable families will not be forced to choose between heating and eating, while donations to MATES will support initiatives to improve the mental health and well-being of construction workers in Australia.

In addition to matching donations from employees, in lieu of customer gifts this year, InEight will donate the money to these charities on its customers’ behalf. “Since the pandemic began, we have seen the need for charitable giving increase dramatically,” said Jordan Adams, director of internal communications and corporate social responsibility, InEight. “At the same time, our employees have always welcomed the opportunity to give back. We are fortunate that we have been able to pivot our business to work remotely, which allows us to continue to support charities through this difficult time.”

Earlier this year, InEight in Action donated over 50,000 meals to foodbanks worldwide to support vulnerable families through COVID-19 and supported the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Scottsdale in the creation of its first Makerspace Studio, a venue to expose youth to STEAM activities, including 3D printers and green screens.

The nominated causes by location are:

  • Columbo, Sri Lanka – Foundation of Goodness is a holistic rural community development model seeking to bridge the gap between urban and rural communities via 10 empowerment divisions across 400+ villages island-wide reaching over 31,500 beneficiaries annually.

  • Melbourne, Australia – MATES is a charity established in 2008 to reduce the high level of suicide among Australian construction workers. MATES provides suicide prevention through community development programs on sites, and by supporting workers in need through case management and a 24/7 help line.
