ILLINOIS TOLLWAY SEEKS FIRMS FOR UPCOMING WORK ON MOVE ILLINOIS

DOWNERS GROVE, IL – The Illinois Tollway today announced that it is seeking firms to provide design and construction management services for eight new contracts for its 15-year, $14 billion capital program Move Illinois: The Illinois Tollway Driving the Future.

The contracts included in Professional Services Bulletin 20-1 will provide for an upcoming estimated $65 million in contracts related to Move Illinois.

Contracts being advertised include:

• One construction management contract for construction of the new I-490 Tollway.
• Two construction management upon request contracts for pavement and bridge construction systemwide and for the Tollway’s Job Order Contracting Program work.
• Two construction upon request contracts for ITS and various construction items for the Central Tri-State Tollway (I-294) Project.
• One design upon request contract for the I-490 Tollway Project.
• One design upon request contract for the Central Tri-State Tollway (I-294) Project.
• One design upon request contract for systemwide needs.

 Firms interested in submitting a proposal can visit the “Doing Business” section on the Tollway’s website www.illinoistollway.com for more information. Submissions are due May 15, 2020, with contracts expected to be awarded by the Illinois Tollway Board of Directors in August. Work is expected to begin this year and next year. 

Illinois Tollway professional engineering services contracts are selected in accordance with the qualifications-based selection process (Illinois Public Act 87-673 (30 ILCS 535/1-535/80) Architectural, Engineering and Land Surveying Qualifications-Based Selection Act), which requires state agencies to select professional architects, engineers and surveyors on the basis of demonstrated competence and professional qualifications. Construction contracts for Illinois Tollway projects are competitively bid under the rules of the Illinois Procurement Code. All contracts are presented to the Illinois Tollway Board of Directors for review and approval.
