DENVER — The International Erosion Control Association (IECA) is now accepting entries for its 15th Annual Photo Contest to be displayed and voted on at Environmental Connection 2012 (EC12) in Las Vegas, Feb. 26-29, 2012. The photo contest consists of four categories: Before & After, Erosion Control Bloopers, Impacts of Erosion, and Technology in Action. There is no cost to enter and everyone is welcome to submit an entry.
IECA’s Photo Contest is a great opportunity to share photos of an interesting project with the entire industry. Last year, IECA received nearly 40 entries and expects another great contest this year. The deadline for submittals is Dec. 30, 2011.
IECA offered the following tips for taking a winning photograph:
• Photos should be in sharp focus, well aligned, and adequately lit.
• Photos will be enlarged for display at the EC12 Photo Gallery. Therefore, original entries must be 300 dpi or higher resolution to be accepted.
• Look for photos that communicate a story or situation clearly.
