HNTB names Emmanuella Myrthil as Diversity Program Director in the Southeast

Myrthil to help clients with business diversity programs as well as small, minority and woman-owned business enterprise programs.

ATLANTA, Georgia– HNTB has promoted Emmanuella Myrthil to the new Diversity Program Director role in the firm’s Southeast Division. She is located in the Atlanta, Georgia, office of HNTB where she will collaborate on client outreach and business diversity programs.

Myrthil will also oversee program operations, ensuring project teams meet compliance rules and regulations, program goals and client objectives. She will provide strategic advice to leadership and clients regarding community outreach and business diversity programs including DBE, small, minority and woman-owned business enterprises and airport concessions disadvantaged business enterprise.

“It’s an exciting time to help our clients with their inclusion and diversity programs, and Emmanuella is well suited to guide these programs to successful outcomes,” said Mike Sweeney, HNTB’s East Region President and interim Southeast Division President. “I’m looking forward to what she will help our clients accomplish.”

Prior to this role, Myrthil was the diversity program manager in the Atlanta office supporting clients such as the Georgia Department of Transportation, Hartsfield Jackson International Airport and the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority.

She piloted the Diversity, Equity and Allyship program in the Atlanta office to create cultural effectiveness, shared learnings and increased engagement with clients and the public. Myrthil was also named one of 100 Top Influential Women in 2021 for the America Council of Engineering Consultants’ Georgia chapter.

Prior to joining HNTB, Myrthil was the DBE manager for the Georgia Department of Transportation. She is also a member of the Women’s Transportation Seminar, Conference of Minority Transportation Officials and the American Public Transportation Association. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from the State University of New York at New Paltz.
