HKA EXPANDS FORENSIC TECHNICAL SERVICES OFFERING IN OCEANIA WITH THE APPOINTMENT OF DR KOUROSH KAYVANI

HKA, the global leading consultancy for multi-disciplinary expert and specialist services in risk mitigation and dispute resolution within the capital projects and infrastructure sector, announced that Dr Kourosh Kayvani has joined the firm as Principal, Forensic Technical Services, based in Sydney.

Kourosh, a chartered professional engineer and Fellow of Engineers Australia, brings with him a wealth of specialist engineering, expert witness, and failure investigation expertise, as well as a long and distinguished history of directorships, industry accolades, academic appointments and speaking engagements.

Kourosh has played leading roles in the design and delivery of many innovative, complex, and award-winning projects across Australia, New Zealand, Asia, UK, Middle East, and Africa, including Wembley Stadium in London, West Kowloon Terminus in Hong Kong, 5 Martin Place commercial tower and Bankwest Stadium in Sydney, ANSTO OPAL nuclear reactor at Lucas Heights in Sydney, and Melbourne Star Observation Wheel, amongst many others.

Kourosh was the winner of John Connell Gold Medal awarded by Engineers Australia, Structural College in 2016. He is also the Laureate of the IABSE Prize awarded by the International Association for Bridge and Structural Engineering (IABSE) in 2006 for his contribution to the design of long span structures world-wide. Kourosh was also named amongst the Top 100 most influential engineers by Engineers Australia in 2009 for his Engineering Expertise.

Prior to joining HKA, Kourosh was the Managing Director, Design, Innovation and Eminence at Aurecon.
