Mobile, Ala. — Hargrove Engineers + Constructors tops the list of Alabama’s largest engineering firms, according to Business Alabama’s annual survey, for the second year in a row. This comes after moving up from third position in the 2014 survey. The recently released list of top firms is based on total design fees.

Hargrove began with only a handful of teammates and has grown to more than 1,200 teammates in 11 offices. As Hargrove has expanded, the company has maintained a reputation for being the right people, in the right place, at the right time. According to Greg Blankenship, Decatur office leader, “This recognition validates our teammates’ focus on excellence and our client-centered approach to projects.”

Business Alabama surveys the state’s engineering firms annually to produce the rankings. The magazine asks firms to answer questions based on design fees, number of employees, largest project under construction, and largest project completed in the prior year.

“All teammates across our three Alabama offices deserve credit for this recognition,” said Blankenship. “Not only that, but we could not have experienced the same level of growth without the support of our clients and partners. We are proud to serve the process, manufacturing, and energy industries in Alabama, which are at the heart of our state’s economy.”
