Hanson Building Products purchases Cretex Concrete Products

Irving, Texas — Hanson Building Products (HBP), a multinational manufacturer of a diversified range of concrete and clay building products in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom, announced that its North American concrete pipe and precast business has finalized the purchase of Cretex Concrete Products (CCP) headquartered in Maple Grove, Minn.

CCP is a manufacturer of reinforced concrete pipe, box culverts, precast drainage structures and bridge components in the Upper Midwest with a network of 17 manufacturing facilities and 850 employees across 11 states.

“It is an exciting day for our company,” said Scott Szwejbka, senior vice president of HBP’s Pipe and Precast business.  “We believe this is a great development for HBP as it combines two highly complementary businesses with similar cultures and values.  CCP’s strong presence in the Upper Midwest market of the U.S. expands our geographical footprint.”
