GZA GeoEnvironmental Inc. completes project work on Allegany Wind Project in New York

ALLEGANY AND BUFFALO, N.Y. AND NORWOOD, MASS. — GZA GeoEnvironmental Inc., an environmental and geotechnical consulting firm, recently completed project work for EverPower Wind Holdings, Inc., on a wind farm project in Allegany, N.Y.

GZA completed a baseline Groundwater Supply Survey for inclusion with the projects Draft
Environmental Impact Statement. The survey included observing and documenting surface water bodies, such as streams, ponds and creaks, and potential drinking water wells located within an approximate 1,500 foot radius from the proposed wind turbines. GZA also collected field measurements including pH, alkalinity, and total hardness from accessible surface water features.

The report included recommendations regarding potential impacts to the water supply features by associated turbine construction activities. The project includes 29 proposed wind turbines.
