Goodman Group Selects SCS Engineers to Assess Former Boeing C-17 Property Valued in Excess of $200M

Long Beach, CA – Australian developer, Goodman Group (ASX: GMG), has chosen SCS Engineers to conduct an Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) as part of its potential acquisition of the 90-acre property in the City of Long Beach. The site was most recently occupied by Boeing as part of their C-17 aircraft fabrication facility.

Located between the Long Beach Airport and Cherry Avenue, the site has been dormant since late 2015, when the last C-17 plane flew off the lot.

“SCS has extensive experience in conducting similar site assessments and our thorough process will include a review of other technical reports such as previous Phase I ESAs, Soil Management Plan and work plans for the property,” said Julio Nuno, SCS Senior VP and Project Director. “Redeveloping this long-underutilized site will bring new industry and energy to the region.”

As part of the Phase I ESA process, SCS will interview property stakeholders, review essential data and historical records, inspect the property and adjoining properties, as well as also review available site investigation documents as part of the due diligence for acquisition by Goodman.
