US-based executive strengthens global team with focus on culture of inclusion and belonging
Toronto – Global professional services company GHD welcomes Joel Howell as Americas/Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA) Inclusion & Diversity (I&D) Leader, reporting to Sadaf Parvaiz, Global Enterprise Inclusion & Diversity Leader. Parvaiz, based in Toronto, joined GHD in March 2021 as the company’s first head of I&D.
Based in Tampa, Florida, Joel will serve as a strategic advisor for the company’s Americas/EMEA region and will work closely with leadership, employee resource groups, the Global I&D Council and People Team to achieve the overall I&D goals for the enterprise.
Sadaf comments, “This appointment represents GHD’s commitment to I&D by expanding the breadth and reach of our team. Joel will align our regional efforts with our overall enterprise I&D strategy, while also providing regional input into global initiatives.”
Joel brings over 15 years of experience in HR and diversity leadership roles. Most recently from PWC, his expertise includes diversity and inclusion, HR strategy, employee engagement, coaching and speaking.

Howell’s new post coincides with the appointment of Coralee Fitzgibbon as Asia Pacific I&D Leader, who will also be reporting to Sadaf Parvaiz.
