GEI’s relocates Manhattan office

Boston — GEI Consultants, Inc., a geotechnical, environmental, water resources, and ecological science and engineering firm, recently relocated and expanded its New York City office. In 2013, GEI merged with the Manhattan and Jericho, N.Y., offices of Feld, Kaminetzky & Cohen, who have served New York metropolitan area architectural and engineering firms, contractors, private clients and public agencies for more than 80 years. This merger brought structural and architectural services to the other engineering and science services offered by GEI.

The New York City office, led by Principal and Branch Manager Benjamin Lavon, P.E. provides a variety of structural, geotechnical and environmental engineering services. Specific specializations include: construction administration; testing and instrumentation; evaluation and restoration of building facades; feasibility studies and reports; forensic engineering; structural failure investigation of distressed structures; and litigation support consulting services to both public and private sector clients in the tri-state area.

"The merger of Feld, Kaminetzky & Cohen with GEI a year ago demonstrated our collective commitment to expand our local presence and technical offerings to clients in the New York metropolitan market," says Ray Hart, P.E., president of GEI Consultants. "This has contributed toward the growth of our client base and service offerings, and led to the relocation of our offices to the larger Broadway location. We look forward to continued growth and success."

The GEI office moved to the following address:

GEI Consultants, Inc., P.C.
1385 Broadway (W 38th Street)
20th Floor
