Seattle — Gannett Fleming expanded its operations to the Pacific Northwest with the opening of a new office in downtown Seattle. Gannett Fleming’s expert staff plan, design, and deliver complex transportation networks, transit systems, maintenance facilities, and water resource facilities through both traditional and alternative delivery methods. Additionally, the firm brings its construction management talent and sought-after dam and geotechnical engineering expertise to the region.

“We are committed to partner with our clients and continue the evolution of a world-class infrastructure network in the Pacific Northwest,” said John Derr, executive vice president and the West Region director for Gannett Fleming. “Our technical expertise in earth sciences, dams/water resources, along with our transportation offering, including transit design and operations and construction management, will be valuable resources in the region.”

Gannett Fleming’s new Seattle office will accommodate its growing northwest workforce; future talent will include designers for transit systems, transit stations, maintenance facilities, water resources, and dams, as well as industrial, structural, bridge, civil, and geotechnical project managers and engineers. “The needs in this region align closely with the expertise Gannett Fleming brings to its clients,” noted Gannett Fleming Transit and Rail Global Business Line Director Bryan Mulqueen.

Gannett Fleming is currently working with the Central Puget Sound Regional Transit Authority with site selection and conceptual and preliminary engineering services for a new light rail operations and maintenance satellite facility in Seattle. Additionally, the firm is working with the City of Seattle and Seattle City Light.
