FREESE AND NICHOLS ADDS CHERYL ROBITZSCH AS DESIGN-BUILD LEADER

FREESE AND NICHOLS ADDS CHERYL ROBITZSCH AS DESIGN-BUILD LEADER

Freese and Nichols, Inc., has hired Cheryl Robitzsch, PE, DBIA, a nationally recognized water/wastewater project leader, to head our Design-Build team as they help communities complete vital infrastructure projects through innovative and collaborative partnerships.

Robitzsch has 36 years of design and management experience, bringing knowledge from all sides of a project in the water/wastewater industry: as a consulting engineer, construction contractor and public project owner. Her expertise includes leading development and execution of a multimillion-dollar public water program and delivering projects from concept to completion for one of the country’s largest design-build construction companies.

“Cheryl understands the needs of communities that have aging infrastructure and are challenged with completing replacements and upgrades quickly,” said Tricia Hatley, Freese and Nichols Executive Vice President for Operations. “Her experience will help us refine our teaming partnerships with contractors and bring clients even more insights for choosing the best delivery approach for their projects.”

Robitzsch, who joins the firm as an Associate, will work across all the regions Freese and Nichols serves in the southern United States. She is licensed as a Professional Engineer in Florida, Georgia and Maryland, and certified as a design-build professional through the Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA).

She served on the Florida DBIA Executive Committee and is a member of Water Environment Federation and the American Water Works Association. She also served as a contributor to the Water Collaborative Delivery Association, providing technical and critical review of the Progressive Design-Build section of the revised edition of the Water and Wastewater Design-Build Handbook.

She received her bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Kansas.
