Free webinar: Best practices of prefabricated wood shearwall design

Pleasanton, Calif. — Simpson Strong-Tie will host a webinar on best practices for prefabricated wood shearwall design. The webinar will include design examples for designing to best withstand seismic and wind events, and will give attendees the opportunity to ask questions of the presenters. This free webinar for engineers and architects takes place Tuesday, June 21 at 11:00 a.m. PDT / 2:00 p.m. EDT.

The webinar will discuss shearwall applications in residential, multi-family and light-frame commercial buildings, and will detail building codes for shearwall applications. It will also include a behind-the-scenes look at the engineering and testing that goes into the development of prefabricated shearwalls.

Presenters include Caleb Knudson, P.E., an R&D engineer at Simpson Strong-Tie, and Tom McClain, a senior product manager at Simpson Strong-Tie.
