FIBERSMITH ACQUIRES AHNEMAN KIRBY, EXPANDS ENGINEERING PORTFOLIO

Fibersmith, a provider of engineering, fiber network design, and software services for telecommunications providers across the country, has acquired Ahneman Kirby, a Connecticut- based civil and structural engineering firm.

The acquisition combines decades of experience from both companies, expanding an already vast portfolio of services to more areas, as well as creating innovation opportunities and expanding infrastructure.

As the companies integrate, employees will have the ability to participate in cross- training opportunities to expand their skillsets. The addition of civil and structural engineering to Fibersmith’s service offerings will also create new opportunities and better efficiencies for the telecom industry.
